We were just missing someone walking down the street going, dreaming of Zion.

But yeah, it's been a while since January 1st. That's right. I was at one time. I popped on the old Twitter notification. Not notifications. The little, what's that little button that shows all the notifications? Notifications page on the Twitter of our, what's it called? Matrix Minute account. And I was like, oh, we did an episode in January. I didn't even, I forgot. It was like, it felt like years ago.

4:11Yeah. I wonder how many people remembered what we said back then. I think we had no information. You know, did you remember what we said? Yes, no. And then we can see. Well, I'm an idiot. I don't remember anything we talked about. And I, well, I wanted to bring up the old predictions. And then I listened to it. I never listened to our podcast. I listened to it. We lost Phil. I listened to it. And then, and then I wrote it down in a note. And then I lost the note. I deleted it. So hopefully Phil remembers. Yeah, I hope, I hope he. So I too have no idea what we talked about last time in January. So if you're listening, you're probably thinking like, guys,

4:53how do you not remember? And it's like, a lot of things happened. So I don't remember what exactly was said. I remember like, maybe like three words that I said from my predictions. That's about it. Well, you're in luck because I listened to it not once, but twice. Once in May and once very recently. In fact, it was a couple of hours ago because I really was curious as to what we actually were saying with predicting what the next Matrix movie is. Can you believe there's even a fourth Matrix coming out? That's the weirdest thing. I actually couldn't believe it. I was watching this trailer and I just couldn't believe it a little bit. You know, I'm not gonna lie. The trailer made it real. Exactly. Like when you were talking about it, predictions or rumors, it was like, anything's possible.

5:35You know? It was like, anything's possible. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's crazy. It reminded me of me being a little kid walking from my brother's house back home. And he told me they're making Tomb Raider too. And I was just, my mind was like, what would be about? And I told my brother, it's going to be about like space and stuff. And he's like, no, it's probably going to be about like, you know, some ancient tombs. And I was like, you don't know. Lara could go to space. Never know. True. Are you talking to movie or are you talking about the game? And then the movie ended up being poopy. Oh, the game. The game. But I do remember him telling me about the movie. I wasn't, I was, that's such a stupid thing.

6:18But I remember exact moment. I was underneath the stairs in my school. Brother came to pick me up and he told me. They're making a Tomb Raider game and playing by Angelina Jolie. I had no idea who Angelina Jolie is. You mean they're making a Tomb Raider movie. That's what you meant to say. Yes. They're making a Tomb Raider game. Let's do this podcast. Philip, you're the boss. Control this. What is happening? We're talking about Tomb Raider. I'm just waiting for us to kind of, you know, just kind of warm up to the fact that, I don't know what I'm talking about anyway. 7:42And then power outage. Right. So we watched it. We seen it. You can watch the reaction. Here's a question, guys. I feel so lame saying that. Since we saw it. What? What's so lame about it, Tim? Do we want to maybe do a refresher of our predictions before we talk about-

8:26A refresher, yes. Phil, if you could take us down memory lane. Jake's bringing in the spice. If you could just joggle our memory and tell us, what did we predict based on two rumors what the Matrix- Maybe that could give us some flavor into this discussion. Totally. Totally. Because as I recall, the podcast that we did, all we saw were some stills. Remember, they were like some- And not even stills. Paparazzi stills. It was just actual, you know, cameras. Yeah, exactly. Behind the scenes. Oh no, it was the paparazzi. Yeah. Yeah, totally. It was just Neo and Trinity on a motorcycle, riding slowly.

9:09A little bit of a bald Neo here and there. Not much else. So we were just, you know, Tim laid down his foundations. Jake laid down his. And I had nothing because mine are always kind of more- Well, refresh us. What were our predictions? I will refresh you now. I'm ready. So this is what Tim's predictions were. Okay. He said that, okay, so the story is that Neo and Trinity aren't real. They're programs and they're designed by the Matrix because some kind of political thing between Zion and the Matrix is happening. So for some reason, the Matrix is like taking over and making some weird programs.

9:50And then there's going to be a fake Neo made by the Matrix and a true Neo that's going to be reincarnated. And Trinity's not going to be a real person. She's going to be like a program that was made by the Matrix for some reason. Because they're dead. Because they're dead. Yeah. And Tim, another thing that you said was like, when the first one came out, it was simple. When the sequels came out, it was like, oh, it's so much more than that. But then you said that, and I quote, I think the predictable path is people love the Matrix one, make it simple. But with the Wachowskis, newer movies at least, that's not going to happen. And then you said, I think it'll be even more convoluted and crazier. Another level of complicated.

10:30Right, right. It's going to go crazier than what we already have with lore. Yeah. Okay. I'm getting in the mindset. I think I'm right there. I don't know if you remember that or not, but Jake's predictions was pretty much alternate timeline, kind of like a what if movie where things change and there are like different choices throughout the story. And it's like an alternate version of the Matrix, not necessarily like the canon that we know from the other films. Didn't Jake say that it would be like a different mood, like a romantic comedy of the Matrix? Man, if you said that, I think I did, guys. I was watching this trailer. I think I said something like that. Yeah. I think later on Jake said that it could be like it's going to go a different genre.

11:15Like it's still within the Matrix universe, but a different genre, a different look into the Matrix. Matrix. Oh, how I wish that was so. So what else was there? There was another... What did I say? I don't remember. That's what I wrote. That's exactly what I wrote for your predictions. So I didn't mention this genre change, or did I? But there's some other little additions that you and Tim said together. And it was like, there's going to be a new main character and it's going to be another one, not new, not Trinity, and it's going to be the start of a new trilogy. Or I think Tim said, either this is a new trilogy with new stuff, or this movie will be one movie and it's going to loop into the next, to the first movie.

11:59So it's going to be an infinite loop, right? A la Planner Lee. I just kind of talked about that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then Jake said, make the Matrix worse situation. What if the new apprentice is going to be a machine and it will be like training to be the one, you know, to become a human? Oh. Oh. See, I forgot about that. Yeah. There you go. You know what's crazy? What? All our theories could fit into this damn trailer. Yeah, I was going to say. All of them. Parts of each of those, probably. Yeah. Okay, so it is a teaser. So we got a teaser. We have no explanation as far as a plot, which usually teasers don't have.

12:39They just give you like a barrage of images and things. And then the trailer will tell you, you know, there's going to be a voiceover that says, the machines, they stopped digging. You know, that kind of thing. That's old school. That's like 20 years ago. That's old school. It's not going to be the narrator. It's going to be voiceover from, like from, no, no, no. The characters. Parts of the movies. Yeah, the characters. And it's going to be more like plot and the, you know, establishing the plot kind of stuff. Usually it is. True. Question, guys. Do you guys remember if, because the Matrix 1 had these like sort of cryptic trailers. Remember that? Well, I don't know. We didn't watch the trailers when they came out, but like we watched it later. But Matrix 2 and 3 did have kind of like plot-driven trailers, wasn't it?

13:23The Matrix 2 and 3 kind of just had, yeah, they had one teaser for the sequels. And it was just a voiceover of Morpheus saying like, this is a war and we are so true. I don't remember any of the trailers, unfortunately. Okay. Well, anyway. That's okay. I don't either. But anyway, let's just get down to business. Let's do it. Let's get into this. Okay. Do you want to talk about overall thoughts or just want to get into what's happening? That's a great question. Because, man, when the first shot happened, what was the first thing you thought? It reminded me of... So the first shot that we see... This is the first shot. The first shot we see is this house and there's a backdrop of the city behind it.

14:07San Francisco. It reminds me of stock images I used to Photoshop in for like advertisement on Instagram. I used to do like a side hustle. Like really... Yeah. It was a little bit weird. I thought it was like an in-joke, like a commercial in the movie. Yes. Me too. That we were looking or something like that. It was a bit strange experience. I got to say. A lot of synapses like... I found it very strange that... By the way, okay. This is going to be just for you guys. But when I was recording my predictions video, I was waiting. I was waiting. I was pretending to know this. I was waiting. And then it goes like this.

14:48Like the trailer will begin shortly, right? Has that like splash screen. Warner Brothers. And then it starts, right? And I see codes. And I'm like, okay. Okay. Interesting. Codes keep going. Keep going. Codes. Codes. I was like, what? Are they even going to show any footage? I was like, this is not fair. We waited so long. And in the bottom right, there's like a timer. I'm like, what? The trailer is going to tell us how long it is? While it's playing. I'm like, this is stupid. It's stupid. And it's just keep going. The codes keep going. Keep going. And guess what? It took me like 30 seconds. I was like, oh, this is like the pre-roll before we actually show the footage. Yeah. A little time countdown. I wanted to say that I was also weirded out by this. Do you know that weird feeling like where you're waiting for something new and then

15:30like the first frame of it, you kind of have a sense of what it's going to be like. That was like the shot for me. It's like you open it, like you see it and you're like, oh, like I see. So it's going to be like this kind of, you know, feel and grading and soft stuff. But I have some thoughts later, which I'll tell you, which I think might be the case. So like, you got a little black cat action going in the psychiatrists with the same sound effect. Before we move on to the psychiatrist, I just, what Jake was saying about the establishing point. I think it's really important to say where we left off with the Matrix. We left off at a place that was basically monochrome, flooded with green.

16:14There's a very specific, like the Matrix, how it started and how it ended with the trilogy, like the look of it and the feel of it, they got really, really concentrated. Like literally it turned into like a painting as far as what the look was. So, and that's what you expect, I think, in your head. So that's why there's a big difference when you're going into that first establishing shot with the house. Well, yeah, that's what I wanted to say. I wanted to mention, Tim, I think one of the biggest jarring things is I thought this was an ad before the trailer. Before the trailer. See, I don't know, it's weird. We all had different starts, yeah. I thought it was good. But then I noticed, okay, so this is actually the Matrix trailer that's showing up.

16:58I knew because of San Francisco, we heard about them filming there. So I was like, oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But when the opening shot was showing off itself, I don't know, what am I saying? When the opening shot was there. Here I am, the opening shot. A lot of things came into my mind. Like I was just like, okay, so no, there's not going to be any green hue. You know, there's not going to be any of that. And I thought, this is good. This is bold. I like this. Because when we left off, it was like, it was kind of getting to be more colorful. Remember at the end of Matrix Revolutions where, I can't believe we're talking about it and it's relevant now. Satie was like, for Neo and it's beautiful sunrise. And here we are. It's beautiful sunrise in San Francisco.

17:38Now that's another interesting topic. Just real quick. It's not a, because I remember in the Matrix sequels, they specifically were honing in on the fact that the Matrix was on Big City. You know what I mean? It was a city with, and we talked about it on the Matrix Minute. I think that's a, we'll learn that there's more than the eye sees. What's that phrase? There's more than meets the eye. There's more than meets the eye. Transform. Transformers. So we get into this psychiatrist's office with the black cat, which is the second shot, and it actually has the same kind of sound. Okay, just, we're not going to go shot by shot. Yeah, just to remind us. Oh, we are, sir. We'll be here until morning. We have shot by shot.

18:19It's like, there's a black cat, obviously. So Robert Patrick Harris. Deja vu. Robert Patrick. Robert John Harris. What's his name? Patrick. Neil Patrick Harris. Thank you. What did I say? Okay. Robert Patrick Harris. It's okay, it's close. It's him. It's been so long to be a twofold. You know, it's like, I subconsciously soaked up all these powers. Oh my. Robert Patrick Harris. Okay, I want to know your thoughts here. Come on, let's see it. So Neil Patrick Harris says many things. So first thought was when we're in the psychiatrist's office, I was thinking to myself, like, oh my

19:01goodness. I was like, this is all delusions. Like, the Matrix is all a delusion from Mr. Neo, Thomas, right? Thomas Anderson. And this is us, you know, him talking to a psychiatrist about his dream he had, you know, Inception style. That was my thought. I was looking at Neil Patrick Robert Downey Jr.'s glasses. They're blue. They're quite blue. They're blue, blue. So let's get into every frame of painting. They represent the blue pill because. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. They perceive the other world through the blue pill.

19:44He represents reality. The psychiatrist, right? Rounding. Yeah, yeah. And then what do you think of the Matrix? Okay, so to get into the weaves, the effects looks shady in this movie. It's a bit shady. That one shot where Keanu's walking down the street. All the shots. And you got the Matrix code. Looks shady. I can't believe that it looked better in the older films. Remember in Matrix 1 where we. I don't want to be negative. When we, in the first Matrix where we said like when Neo turns into the one and sees the, sees the hall and being like in codes and it all looks a little bit too much of like the shutter speed is off or something like that.

20:25This looks exactly the same like that. It just looks wonky. Yeah. It's a bit wonky. Maybe, maybe that's their artistic choice. Who knows? I don't know what to say. All I'm saying is like what I admire, like at this time, 12 seconds in, I already was like, I'm so interested just knowing that they're trying something else. Like why is, oh, oh man, we got to see these little screenshots here soon. But like, they're actually, is this going to be like a Matrix, like meta contextual thing? You know what I mean? Because they're talking about the Matrix. I think it's much more abstract than the previous films.

21:06That's what I'm thinking based on kind of what the footage we're seeing here. And we also didn't see a lot of footage. Like where's, you know, Christina Ritchie, no sign of her. He's been cast in the movie. Where's the Merovingian? Well, they're holding stuff back for sure. I want to say that's more like that. I think there's a lot to hold. Tim's prediction was that you said, oh man, what was that? It was like, I think it was, or what? No, your prediction was like, mine was like alternate timelines, but yours was, what was it, Phil? Like it was before, like a loop. The Matrix program is making new programs. Or that it's a loop. Yeah. The Matrix program is making like a new. Yeah, like some kind of, a convoluted.

21:46Neo and a new Trinity. It's more convoluted, more complicated. That's what I think. Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. It's getting crazier with the concepts of what Matrix means and what represents and what's the lore, how it functions. Yeah. Now I got some juice for you because right at the beginning there's some flashes that you didn't catch. Okay. But if you look frame by frame, you're going to see some interesting. This is some absom shit right here. Look at those eyes. Interesting shit. Show us the frames. First of all, there's the eye man, the man with the green eyes, whatever that is. That's Mouse. He's resurrected as well. There's a bullet being shot by a blurry man. By Benicio Del Toro. Mr. Blur, yeah. There's Neo. No, there's John Wick. Yeah. John Wick.

22:27He's doing his, um, he's stopping the bullets a la End of Matrix 1. Yep. Mm-hmm. But he's trying really hard. Look at this. This is a shot I want to show you. That's... Look at this. I want to look at this in detail. When is the shot? No, that's Neo. That's Neil. That's Neil. DocBot's back, baby. But also, Neo looks like he's being reconstructed or something. Oh. Right. They definitely are. Putting them in there. They put them back in. They pack them up. So, I guess what the immediate thought is, you know, they're dead, but then the machines pack them up, put them in the thing, and they're like, hey, in you go. Right. Pack everyone up. I don't know. Like, I'm just, that, to me, that was, that was something that once I noticed, I was like, wow. Well, it's interesting, because the machines did have Neo at the end, remember? Yeah, they did. He died in Machine World.

23:49He died in Machine World. And so the Trinity, she got stabbed in Machine World. That's right. They had access to her. They did. Yeah. In Machine World. They didn't have access to Morpheus. Morpheus survived, didn't he? Yeah. Yep. We have Morpheus not dead. Forpheus. Fake Morpheus. Forpheus. Dorpheus. Okay. So then there's Dorpheus. We got Forpheus. It's just the cinematography, man. I know. Okay. So let's talk about the cinematography. I want to talk to you about that, too, because... There's Trinity shot again. That's Matrix 1. Look at this. Look at this. Machine World.

24:30There's a shot at 14 seconds in, where it's like a red, like, cathedral-like hall with two giant machine things with a red light. They're about to kith. Now watch this. There's a new shot of Neo coming back to life, but instead of everything being blue in the real world, coming out of the pod, it's kind of red. Huh. That's a new thing. A dude snapping his fingers in close-up. And then we're back to the psychiatrist. Psychiatrist. Yep. So here's the thing. Oh, by the way, there's also, like, did you notice when watching the trailer, they put these little glitches throughout the entire movie? First, I thought it was, like, oh, they shot on film.

25:11I thought it was... There's, like, rain and stuff like that, but then I realized it's actually just, like, little, like, codec glitches, like, happening all the time. Yeah. Okay, before we get into the John Wick with a rubber ducky on his head... I love that shot, though. Like, that made me happy. I felt like there's some life in this after all. Like, after watching the entire trailer. What are your guys' thoughts on the cinematography? Because it's very, very different. I am... I am... This is no Bill Pope. I will save my opinion on that at the end, which I think you guys might find interesting what I think about that. Okay. All right. Let's run through the... Yeah. Let's keep going. Okay. 25:51I mean... I mean... Thomas Anderson. It's John Wick. Sitting in the bathtub in San Francisco. Thomas Anderson doesn't have long hair and a beard, so it's John Wick in my head. With a rubber duck on his forehead and the back. It's interesting also, guys. Wonderful. If you remember... Last we left, Thomas A. Anderson, before he took the red pill, he was living a crappy life. 26:31Now this is the pivotal, right? Talking to meet in Trinity, and she says something like, I don't know you or something, right? No, she asks, have we met? That's the one. Yeah. Have we met? It's just... I can't go on without mentioning this. It's just so weird seeing this. I can't believe this is Trinity or Neo without our friend, the noir-inspired lighting. Ah. Yeah. That's true. That's what I want to talk about. It's cinematography. It is a TV movie soap opera that I'm watching with these two here. Hmm. And if it has a purpose? Great. If it's like, cinematographer didn't know what to do, then...

27:13I'm scared. For the purpose? I'm scared. Yeah. Yeah. Thumbs up, thumbs down. Ooh. Ooh, mama. So anyway, as we continue going there, there is this great... There's this close-up of Trinity at a coffee shop. Looks exactly like, how's your sex life? Coffee shop. Exactly. In the room. Nice doggy. It's in San Francisco. So there you go. Hi. Nice doggy. Oh yeah. And then there's the one shot of Keanu Reeves' hand in close-up putting, like, getting some prescription pills. Blue pills. Get it? And he's just... Yeah. Is this shot on film or is this shot on digital? Good question. I think this is all digital, but I don't know.

27:53Maybe it's film. I don't know. I don't know what the Wachowski... At this point in the trailer, I was getting some heavy A Scanner Darkly vibes. But that's just because, you know, Keanu Reeves and he had a beard, pills. True. Not being sure about reality. Doesn't mean anything connection-wise, but... Corey's massages. Corey's... Millennials on their phones. And millennials on their phones. And then he looks up into the ceiling. And it's nice that they covered the camera there. It's great. Otherwise, he would have had to do the first Matrix trick of covering the camera with Morpheus's coat. Remember that? Yeah, yeah. The doorknob. Classic. And then we have Keanu with the famous Phil Heaney. Yeah. He has a lot of pills now. A lot of blue pills. And he has a lot of pills.

29:15A lot of blue pills just going down the drain. What is this? What can we expect? Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland book. I mean, I was more of a... Like, you can take out a certain character in the movies and without that actual look or feel, it looks like poop.

47:27I miss Lawrence too. It's true. It's like getting the band back together. It's like, you know, when one person's missing, it sort of feels like the whole team is missing. Everyone talks about the Matrix all the time. Yeah, maybe, interesting, I'm getting some more ideas now that I'm seeing this. Maybe this is like, you know, another version of this movie could be, you know, forget about the abstract play I was talking about. Maybe it's again, classic machines making these crazy meta illusions just to keep people under control. But that would be very disappointing. That would be kind of anti-constructive to the whole point of the second and third movies. Maybe that's where they were trying to show that the machines weren't bad to begin with.

48:54Here's the thing, right? Yeah. Here is the lowest denominator. Oh, no. Here's the, here's the, here's the... I don't want to hear it. I know, I know what you're going to say. 49:34No cap and crunch. Something is off. Something is strange, right? Okay. And then there's people, and this is the, this is the, this is the best scenario. This is, Matrix figured it out. Oracle and the Architect, this is the perfect thing, right? But something is off, and the blue-haired woman, the apprentice, she's the leader of this, you know, whatever. Resistance. New, new thing, resistance, right? And they gotta get Neo and Trinity back, because they know how to do it. And this is, and they get Neo back, and I don't know what's going on with Trinity, why she's, why she's, why she's, why she's crying code. She's fake, she's real, I don't know.

50:14Netflixius? I don't know. Is he imposter? Is he a new program? Is it just, is it, is it Morpheus reincarnated? Is it, is it something else? We don't know. So the setup, I think is gonna be cheesy no matter what. It's really the resolution, which is gonna be interesting, because I feel like I'm seeing the pattern. The deciding factor. Hmm. That's actually bad. Resurrections, right? Well, yeah, probably. Is this Zion? It's a nice, really, nice shot of, uh, or just the. Yeah, what happened to Zion? Is it Zion? Are they all dead? This reminded me a lot of, like, them standing on these rooftops specifically reminded me a lot. Like, obviously, it's, like, supposed to be, um, alluding to the rooftop. Yeah. When they went to save Morpheus and M1. Matrix 1. Yeah. Yeah. M1.

51:35M1. Good old M1. Tim's new. Driving on the M1. M1. Through Hungary. Sorry, sorry about this. Uh. It's okay. You messed up there, but there's, there's a shot. Okay, so we see the squiddies. We see the love scene on the rooftop, like the hangover. The swats are bad. And then, Blue Lady does jumpy jump. Hmm. Yeah, she does a jumpy jump. And the Netflix shot. 1:13:09I think it's going to be the cliche one. I think it's going to be abstract one. Yeah. I think it's going to be cliche. I think it's going to be the Matrix is now in perfect condition, but perfect isn't perfect. And we're going to need Neo again to help people out. Yeah. I don't know what the ending is going to be. Is it going to be positive and negative? But I feel like it's, yeah, whatever we left off that we thought it's the perfect world. It's not Neo's got to do his job again. It's not a remake. I think it's just a reboot, like not a reboot. It's a meta reboot. It's, I don't know. I don't know.

1:13:49It's funny because like seeing how it is, the plot lines and the visuals, I'm like exactly what we talked about. It's like, it's very different. It's weird. I don't know if it's bad or if it's really artistic and genius. Good. Same with the visuals and same with the plot. I don't know where this is going. Is this cheesy? Let's just do it again. Or is this like really smart and like it's figured out? I literally don't know. So I'm just going to really wait until the movie comes out. What do you think, Jacob? So, I mean, that's the smartest thing. Here's what I think is what I was saving. And I am going to go on a limb and be an optimist, complete optimist compared to Luke.

1:14:32Here's what I think. If, like I said, if we take being like, you know, taking this sort of optimistic viewpoint, I really think that Lana Wachowski, I think they're completely messing with us with the trailer. I don't think, we kind of went, you know, screen by screen and critiqued everything. I think they kind of wanted people to do that. And I think that they are definitely messing with us in terms of, I think it's even possible that none of this will be like truly in the film in the sense of like plot wise, what we think it will be. Or. It's like 5% of the movie we're watching.

1:15:13I really hope so, Jacob. I really, really hope so. If you really go like, let's say, let's pretend like, you know, let's just say like, go all in and say like, there's this, you know, Lana, crazy, mad scientist, genius. Maybe none of this is in the movie. You know, it's like, it's a complete, you know, like distraction. And then the movie is something we didn't even expect. That would be amazing. I think that would be really cool. That would be amazing. That would be like, hats off. Like, that's so cool. But even if it's not, I think that maybe this sort of abstract, crazy version could be really cool still. You know, like, like this trailer is giving you some weird vibes and weird flavor flavors. It is giving me some weird vibes. But that would be great if like, we mentioned earlier, they just go all out completely.

1:15:57And you go and watch this movie. I would love to sit in a theater and just like, you start watching like, where is this going to go? This is insane. You know, like, this is some, oh, oh, here's the last thing I wanted to say. So that's, that's my first part. The second part is I do have a little bit of a worry and a concern. And that's that I'm a little bit scared that, you know, I think that in general, like, you know, everyone who tries to create art or make something creative, like, you know, I mentioned Tim over the years, if you're in a band, you always want to look for something new and you're changing and whatever you're making is a reflection of who you are at that moment. Right. And you're trying to be true to yourself and put that out there.

1:16:39Yeah. So you're always changing as an artist. And I think the same thing is, you know, with Lana Wachowski. I mean, you can clearly see, you know, in her and Lily, right. When they made the Matrix, they're 100% probably different people than 20 years ago. Completely different people. 20 years ago. Yeah. And that's 100% normal. And that's, that's a good thing. But I'm a little, totally worried that they, like, this is just a personal kind of fear. I'm worried that they might like, like almost like in a sense, like crap on the, the original Matrix movies and sort of like almost make fun of them. Oh yeah. Sort of like in a meta way, say like, look how, you know, silly and simple, you know, our ideas were.

1:17:19And look how, look how black and white we looked at the world or, or whatever. And kind of just make the Matrix feel like kind of wimpy and lame, you know what I'm saying? Like, and that, and that's a cool experiment. I'm not saying that's not necessarily bad, but I also think that you have to, in general, like as an artist, you have to also like respect, you know, the stuff you did before, even if you don't necessarily agree with what you did. I think it would, to me, it would be a little more like. Especially if it's something that puts you on the map. Exactly. To me, it'd be more like honorable and respectful if like, if they respected the Matrix, the first one. I'm not saying that's like, you know, that you have to like revere it and like bow down to it, but I'm just saying that for what it was, especially back then in film history

1:18:01and like you said, their careers, I think it's worth like saying like, wow, that's, you know, that's the only thing I'm worried about is that it might be a little bit like tongue in cheek, you know. Yeah. I see what you're saying. I don't know. I think I disagree. I think it's, I think it's okay for an artist to do that. I think, and I think I would probably enjoy that. I think like just sort of like revision, not in the sense of like Lucas or Spielberg, you know, like go back and fiddle with the old thing. But I think if you make something new and you kind of make fun of yourself or having a certain point of view, I think that's okay. I mean, you know, it's really up to the people to decide if they like it or not. But as you as an artist, I think you can go ahead and just like, look how simple we

1:18:42thought. I think it's okay. Yeah. I'm not saying this. I would personally enjoy it. Oh, you would enjoy it. Okay. Okay. I don't know. I mean, like, like I said, it could be interesting. I'm just saying. I don't think I would. I would just feel a little bit, it would make me feel a little bit bad because in a sense, like, you know, uh, uh, you know, 20 years from now they'll do it to this movie, you know? And it's like, yeah, I understand where they're coming from with that. But at the same time, it's sort of like, well, what, what makes your piece of art better now than it was 20 years ago? Like, you know, okay. I mean, that's normal. It's like you're exploring stuff and trying different things. Um, but I think that they can both be, have their respectful space in sort of like history

1:19:23and how you look at it. Oh, I understand that, but I think it's up to the, the audience, the people who, who, no, no, it's up to the audience to decide, you know, what is the, what is the place of in history and art? Of course. Of a specific thing. It's, I agree. It's up to the artist to create it. And then it's up to the audience or the people who consume it or people who view it then to decide. So if, you know, if they make something that's, you know, making fun of the old thing and people don't like it, that's just going to stay as we're going to forget about matrix resurrections and matrix one is still going to become a thing. Maybe it's going to change everyone's mind. I don't know. You know what? Actually matrix resurrection is the, you know, the right way of thinking things.

1:20:05And matrix one is, is, you know, is no longer the pinnacle. So I think it's, I think it's okay. We'll just see what happens. Who knows? I'm worried and excited. There's too little information. Yeah. Yeah. I think that we all share the same worry that we're afraid that it's going to be, you know, like super cliche and like middle of the road. We'll look back. That's the worst. We recorded those predictions and we were like, it's interesting. It's just didn't excited. Yeah. That was terrible. Anyway, you know, that's. Yeah. And that's what I'm saying. I'm being an optimist and I really hope that it's going to be wacky, wild, crazy. That's my hope.
