But it's interesting that now there is going to be a Matrix 4, which is, which has been a thing for a year already. Here's a question. When we were recording the Matrix 4. And to be totally honest with you, I don't know, but you guys had a very difficult time understanding the theories and the concepts of this email. The theories and the concepts. Of time and things like this.

7:32Yeah. We felt a little bit like Alice. Tumbling down the rabbit hole. Exactly. I wasn't sure because I feel like I didn't understand enough of like the background of these theories and things to really say much, you know. It's difficult to respond. You're not quite sure. Yeah. So the person who you probably know we're talking about you, if you feel comfortable enough for us to talk about these things, let us know. And maybe we'll do a special. We tried to contact her on Twitter because we noticed she had a Twitter account. And she was liking stuff, you know, like pretty frequently. Yeah. And we'd like send her a public tweet, but nothing happened, I guess. I mean, we were done with the podcast. Didn't really want to. We're proud of it. I think we lost our chance in 2020 where no one's doing anything. Yeah. True. And, you know, like it's like we did it and it was big and we put a lot of effort into it. And I think it was, there were some interesting, you know, parts of this podcast.

9:36So we wanted to share it with maybe some of the people who were involved with the movie would, you know, enjoy it. You know, I don't know. Maybe, you know. Yeah. I mean, I was kind of, yeah, kind of like I had a little, little hope, you know, a little 5% maybe, but it's okay. Maybe when they're 80 and they have nothing to do. Yeah. They'll just listen to this. We'll be a little over 80. I know we'll be under 80. But then we can all have a hope. It's true. It's perfect. Yeah. Right. And it's like, this is Jim. He's done it all. Anyway, Lily Wachowski, out of the picture, not going to be involved in Matrix 4. But we have Lana.

10:16Lana always seemed to be the one who is kind of like, if there were any of the two Wachowskis that were kind of leading, I think it would be Lana. It seemed like that since the very beginning in the Matrix making ofs and stuff like that. I don't know. I'm just kind of speculating. That's interesting because I don't know. Yeah. I always, yeah. I never actually felt like one was leading, but who knows? Who knows? True. But yes, Matrix 4, it was introduced to be a thing in 2019 in August. That's when we didn't do the podcast. And also before we even did the commentary for our 20th anniversary Matrix thing. We've been planning this special for about, I don't know, like seven years, I think.

10:59I feel like. Totally. I think longer than the podcast. Yeah, right. Rumors came over like, let's do a prediction. Yeah, we'll do a prediction before. Yes, we'll do a prediction before the movie comes out. If the movie will come out. Our prediction episodes are always so hyped. Yeah, I know. And then by the time it comes, you're like, what do you think is going to happen? Exactly. I don't know. Yeah. Well, in the truest fashion for preparation for this podcast, I prepared absolutely nothing. And I know nothing about this movie. It seemed Tim and Jake classic. I saw one picture. Back to form. That was with a headline that says Matrix 4 is coming out. I saw at least five. And I didn't read the rest of the article because I was lazy.

11:43So I don't even, I don't, like, I don't remember how Matrix ended. Like, I really need Phil to bring you up and, you know. I'm the lore master. Refresh our memory. What happened? Before we go into the rumors, I wanted to say that the only thing we do know is that there is no, uh, one main character isn't returning, right? Lawrence? Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence. Lawrence Olivier is not. Lawrence Fishburne is not returning. And that is very, I don't know what to say about that. Is he an ex-actor? We'll talk about that. I don't know what to say either. We'll talk about that when the time comes. So let's talk about. For the ending, go ahead. It's true. Okay, let's just talk about what happened in Matrix Revolutions.

12:24Just the end. How does it end? Because I can't remember who died and who's alive. All right. All right. By the way, Tim, when you said, reminds me of the ending, I wasn't even thinking of Revolution. I was thinking of the first. Oh, no. I was like, you forgot. Yeah. Yeah. Well, let's go back to November 2003. So this is what happens, right? The war is starting. The machines are going into Zion. Neo says, I need a ship. And Niobe gives him his ship. Remember that? Yes. 13:05Yeah. So he's going. They fight. I got a feeling. Yeah. They fight. All the characters that we don't really care about die or are in danger. Good. Before you know it, the Sentinels defeated Zion and are cornering our heroes. Morpheus is the one that's important. He's there. Who's being cornered? Morpheus and who? The people. They're in the core. Remember the dancing core? Zion. The cave? They're all huddled there. Oh, that's right. They're in the cave. Because the machines. Is it just Morpheus from the first movie? And then the rest of them are from the other movies? Yeah, man. The only survivors from the first movie are Morpheus, Trinity, and Neo. Yeah, you have like Niobe. Okay, I don't remember any of the other people that were there then.

13:46Well, anyway, Neo gets to the machine city. And Trinity dies. With no problems, except for Trinity dying. When they crash into the city. Yes. They have this wonderful, you know, touching moment. Trinity's dead. She got punctured by all these metal spears. You know what I mean? These spikes. Yep. She got punctured by spikes. So Trinity dies. She dies. Neo goes alone. He fights Smith. She dead. In this big battle, you know, with the rain. Ah, yes. Rain battle. And Neo, instead of fighting, he gives up. He lets Smith copy himself onto Neo.

14:26And because Neo's connected to the main big robot, the deus ex machina, as it's called in the script. Mm-hmm. They pump him full of light and then destroy Smith the virus. Pumpy, pumpy. Yeah, destroy Smith the virus. Smith the virus is gone. The Matrix can reload. But this time, it's not the reloaded of the previous ones. Remember there were six ones? There were five ones before him. It's not the reloaded of oppressionism. Yes, yes. It's not the reloaded of oppressionism. It's the freedom reload where everyone stays the same. Zion doesn't get destroyed. That's what it's called. I think freedom reload. They're like in Total Commander, they're like, oh, we're not going to do this executive file. We're going to go one load.

And then, you know, he's like, how long do you think this piece will last? And she's like, as long as it can. And he's like, and then she goes, do I have your word? And he's like, of what? And she's like, of the others that want to get out of the Matrix. And he's like, what do you think I am? Human? No, before he goes, obviously they'll be freed. Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah. Obviously they'll be freed. And then you have the line. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. You know your Matrix. What do you think I am? A human? See? I know. Does Neo die? The Matrix. Yes. Oh, I'm sorry. We didn't, we missed that part. Neo's totally dead.

16:27He's dead. Yeah. He's dead. There's a little funeral. He's dead. What about Morpheus? The machines give him. He's dead. Morpheus is alive. Remember? At the end of the movie. He's alive and well. He's alive and well. So why Morpheus is alive? Because he's crying. Well, the image I saw, there was Neo and Trinity mucking about and then you're telling me Morpheus is not coming back. This is the opposite. That's right. The two people who died in the movie and the one that survived, it's the ones that are dead are back and the one that survived is not. I don't understand. This begs the question. I don't understand. Well, that's the end of Matrix Revolutions. So there you go. That's what it is. There's a piece. Wow. Zion is still there. It doesn't get wiped out. Yeah.

17:07That Zion can just continue to grow, flourish. Party. That's right. And the dungeons will be freed if they want to. A lot of the dungeons. And there's this nice symbiosis now between the Matrix and the machines and the humans. That's the ending. Yeah. And the whole thing with the Oracle and all the other machines, not all the machines, but these wise people is that they try to get it to that point where humans and machines can be at peace again and coexist. That's kind of the bow at the end of the package. So, wait, wait. Yeah. I have questions. Oh, but wait, guys. Wait. I have one question before. If I may. Just so I don't forget. Yeah. Go ahead. Where she goes, a little sati asks the Oracle, right?

There's like a Neo that's like a program. And then Neo is going to reincarnate as well. There's going to be two Nios. Yeah. There's going to be a program Neo. Okay. Like the one that Matrix makes. Oh, okay. And it's going to be fake. And there's going to be like a real... Because like Neo comes, you know, every... Like when Matrix goes to shit, Neo is reincarnated. Like it's the mixture of like... That's right. Science and fiction, right? And mythology. Like that's what we learned in the first one.

Uh, Keanu Reeves in, in August, confirmed they resumed in Berlin from San Francisco. That's so weird because they filmed in Australia. The, the, the last three movies that were all filmed in Australia. It's so weird that we're going to San Francisco and, and Australia seems to be like one of the most safest places to be right now.
