9:36ah yes masterpiece my thing and um uh i had this magazine called plugged in which is a which is a focus on family magazine that probably for parents it's christian magazine yes for parents we used to get those we did was a warning about the matrix exactly it's actually talking about you know it tells you about different media out in the world and they rate it and stuff like that like consumption advice oh warning and there was and there was something about real yeah and there was something about reloaded while i was listening to meteor or lincoln park wait um was this um an album review in plugged in or was it a movie the movie review okay because in the movie review they have like in in plugged in for those of you who don't earn away of this oh i remember that magazine oh yeah it was

11:45and that was my only uh glimpse at the third film because i had no idea what was going to happen there was no like advertisement for it and it was just Neo in the rain so my imagination was that it's the burly brawl again the same thing from matrix reloaded but just in the rain this time amazing so you thought well i mean you're not far off honestly not far off but i didn't expect that i looked at their review online oh yeah do you have any juicy juicy bits i don't know i just yeah there's the picture you found it's there yeah yeah look at it i'll link you wait wow this is a blast from the past guys that is a blast from the past okay let's let me let me look at the spiritual content sexual content okay let's let me check it

14:01we could have stayed on after the credits to see the uh the trailer but we never did we never did so we didn't find anything about revolutions or that it was going to exist or whatever we're just like oh oh we knew i knew it was coming saying that we didn't know like yeah there was no specifics there were no there was no information about it and then uh sometime in fall in the fall when the uh matrix revolutions when matrix reloaded came out on dvd and video uh we were at our store local store metro i remember yes and there were little posters that they were giving away for free little Agent Smith posters and you know that i don't remember the yes and the poster on in the in the store was uh the matrix reloaded you know that the one where Neo's in the middle morph is on the

14:46side Trinity is on the side and they're in that little archway that stone archway yes and it says reload before the revolution begins oh you don't remember that i thought that was such a good you said it was clever to reload before the revolution begins i don't think it's so weird that they named them revolutions and reloaded it's like shooting yourself in the leg why i just name it something different you know matrix uh three smith strikes back i don't know it's just honestly what's wrong with revolutions and they're too similar it's just it's too confusing rr yeah yeah yeah like even even our host the mace the famous matrix man can't even get to his oh yeah yeah yeah let alone a person on

16:19went in the evening and we wanted to get tickets for that night or for later i think for that night we couldn't get tickets too late and they were like matrix goto matinee tomorrow just i'm doing the i'm doing the guys like oh i'm sorry you know it's so weird when you started when you started talking i i'm messing with this knob of the like the input for you me and yeah and tim and i went too far and you disappeared yeah you just hear a little little tiny voice in a box i was like a little smith man this man

17:01what go ahead what do you want to say nothing i was just i was just doing the cashier you know oh yeah yeah well our dad was there he was buying tickets for us okay we're kids and then like 10 10 a.m they have a showing matinee like okay yeah we're let's let's do it in the morning we never did a movie in the morning and then we went to the cinema in the morning but before that i saw the lobby card and there was this image of what is in the final film Neo in the machine city looking at the city and i and i just had a glimpse of it when we were getting out of the lobby to go home to come back in the morning and i was thinking wait wait is that the matrix twisting you know because the machine cities uh buildings are like twisted and they look like coral reefs and i

17:47thought oh the matrix is really getting destroyed and that's smith in the middle isn't it smith looking at his destruction the destruction that he caused i thought that was too much dragon ball z for phil i would say yeah that's what i thought and i was anticipating something you know and you're disappointed when it was balls to the wall crazy yeah yeah i don't know i was anticipating the point of the matter is we watched the movie in the morning yeah it was a little bit of a strange experience because uh we left the cinema it was daylight yeah it was like noon the day's starting and i have to say i don't like watching movies and matinee anymore i don't mind at all well now maybe now is okay but uh back then it was strange because it's meant to be an event

18:28when you're younger you know kids you kind of kind of get sucked into the world a lot more yeah and um when you get back and it's only 12 yeah uh you kind of time to think about yes you're like i have a whole day ahead of me now what i will forget about this movie yeah yeah i think that's what it felt like it's weirder i still remember coming home and going now what you know now what do i do with my life yeah that's how i felt because the movie was you know the the trilogy was over i guess i'll i'll wait another month for the trip before return of the king oh what was that after that's great that's the month that's nothing yeah yeah when your kid is like a lifetime away

20:34tim was like the video is bad but the audio is really good i could be i don't know which one was it reloaded revolutions i i honestly don't remember anything with the revolutions except watching it with you guys on your special dvd collection that's the only first i i must have like maybe like in my you did i remember you had it and you said the movie's lame maybe i only watched it once because i really don't recall it maybe it's maybe in my brain it's like mushed with the reloaded divix as well like that's like one big thing in my head i think that reloaded was the one with a good sound because i believe it was it was the video of the guy in the front row right so yeah it wasn't good at all the video but i remember he told me like the sound was plugged

21:15into the mixture or whatever i don't know that's true but it was good like it was the sound was like a dvd like sound okay okay i have no idea cinema you know i don't remember nothing i don't know so just gave up with the matrix after to be honest i i'm not i must have finished to the end but i i just just bored really bored of this movie i i remember because because the reloaded open a lot of questions and once i watched uh revolutions none of my questions were answered at all i don't remember any understanding anything i was just like what the hell is this how's that screw this look let's let's watch let's watch return of the king that's pretty much i think that's what everyone

21:59every person in the world did it was like yeah that was something wow we can watch proto kind of finally throw the damn ring into the well and that was like a lot of anticipation i mean those are just totally different in terms of anticipation yeah yeah i just feel like two towers was good as well yeah it's a shame because you know matrix would have been i think they could have been able to do something about it anyway with that we can talk about the movie now let us talk about the movie now so the film starts with the logos we see logos appear i just want to say that the code okay first of all i'm gonna do this from for the for the music section because i was a little lazy last time with the music

22:39so i'm gonna say that each film uh starts in a different key uh don davis did this intentionally so the first one sounds like this and then the second one goes up a register or is it a key i think it's a key it goes up a key i think it's a a semitone up yeah it goes it goes a semitone up maybe a tone full tone listen to it and the third one is the highest

32:11and um before we get into the gritty details let's let i have no idea how this is intercut as far as the story goes so i'm just going to talk about the limbo stage as a whole do you guys mind please please yeah i would love that as a whole i have no idea how so so he's in this train station and and and story-wise and and and sort of like a philosophical whatever area this kind of makes sense you know he's limbo he's not between he's between the real world and the matrix like uh as far as science wise or like logic plot logic movie logic this makes absolutely no sense

32:52because he's not hooked up to the matrix but his brain is somehow still locked in the movie yeah he's not hooked up in the matrix he's not plugged in but his brain his consciousness somehow stuck in this between land where train comes from real world i mean this is i guess like metaphorically right it's not like there's a train station in a real world you but in this limbo and then the train can take you to the matrix and we never see the transitions obviously because it would be weird to so to show that yeah but and he's that plus showing that ambush that the that commander lock wanted to do and reloaded and that failed those two things would have been really good to have in the film

33:33because then you would get you would understand it better you would understand now this this completely befuddled me as as i watched this before until now i kind of pieced some things together no idea what that train station about it was just like a scene he meets a little family right yep uh an indian dude and his wife and their kid and we see this guy ramakandra this is my wife kamala and our daughter sati we are very happy to meet you or whatever he was in uh he was in uh winter soldier he was he was in the winter because i was watching i was like wait i know this guy yeah i'm glad you i'm glad you recognized him i was like oh wait that's that's this is this is the that's a weird program it's ramakandra yeah exactly okay so um and so is the calculations guy from batman dark knight oh that is true that is true

2:29:18and just sort of ends so tim did does it definitely feel like a first draft kind of deal where it felt like oh yeah they did have enough time to make this thing more developed i mean i mean one level of criticism is that is that they had great ideas it's just you know it wasn't developed enough but the second one is that i don't agree with some of these ideas and i don't think it makes a compelling story that's another thing even yeah even the way i haven't laid out especially the second the third one like the second one story-wise it's kind of full and yes it could have been just a better movie if they worked on it more and the third one is maybe would have been even better if they just completely scrapped whatever the direction they were going like i always thought you start off with Neo you know

2:30:02it's like a story of a hero and then the hero becomes the king he becomes the responsible the ruler here it's not like i would thought he would become the governor of the matrix you know they they realize that Neo is not the one who just chooses what happens but he becomes the one who's like you don't like if you have this world where humans are supposed to be happy you have to have a human in charge like you have to go back to the original ways because having this system that keeps breaking is not good so just you know adopt Neo Neo's consciousness yeah his brain and put it in the matrix and make him in charge and see what i like that that's why i thought the journey was going so so the ending would be like conan the destroyer and you see conan you see Neo on the throne yes
