0:00Welcome to the Matrix Minute, a podcast where we discuss the first film one minute at a time, because this movie's amazing, I love it. So I am Phil, and contrary to popular belief, Sean Connery was in fact supposed to be the architect, not Morpheus, which is what I always thought from the beginning, and now it's correct. Wow. Sean Connery was asked to be the architect in The Matrix Reloaded. Wow. Hello everyone. The popular belief that was Morpheus. Oh, sorry, Jacob. My name is Jacob. Say things. Jacob is my name. And you know, I'm just here hanging out, and I'm joined by two other people today.

0:41Which is not including me. No. Oh, crap, you're right. Fine, let's go on, go on, go on. Three people, but two people who are mystery. Who are these two mystery men? Mystery men are one. Well, I'm Tim. Oh. And I'm his brother Stan. Did you know? Ah, that was my trivia. Oh. Oh. You thief. Sorry. You thief. I got excited because we're talking about a movie about brothers, and we are two sets of brothers. Yeah. Wow. How is the movie about brothers? That's true. Holy crap. Which movie are we talking about? This is not. Movies about brothers? I mean, made by brothers. Sorry. Yes. There you go. Oh. Well, at least they were brothers then.

1:22Sorry. Yeah. And we both have a Polish-y last name, so, you know. That works. Let's just try to connect this. And Neo and Smith could be considered brothers after Matrix Reloaded. I think that we deserve some royalties from the films. Yes. We're very close. We need that Matrix. I don't think they make any money more. What do you mean, man? They get checks every month. For what? For Rob Zombie's song? For everything. The DVDs. Blu-ray. Blu-ray. Who's going to buy a Blu-ray now? Philip, you. Yeah. You're right. Okay. But you're waiting for UHD or whatever. Yeah. Okay. So, welcome back. I think this is Stan's last time so far. It's Friday.

2:02Friday. It's party time. But, you know. Yeah. We have to let him go and all the good things must end. Yes. He must continue his journey alone. He has learned new choices. Well, it was great while I lost it. Indeed. Thank you. Thank you so much for joining us. And we are going to tackle Minute 38. And on Minute 38, this is what happens. In Minute 38. In Minute 38, this is what happens. Morpheus continues to explain that he can't clearly tell Neo when in time they are because they honestly don't know. Morpheus takes Neo out to give him a tour of the main deck of his ship, the Nebuchadnezzar, and introduces him to all the people in his crew, Tank, Cipher, Apox, Witch, Trinity,

2:42and Dozer. The little one behind him is Mouse. That's how the minute ends. So, in this scene, like I said, we get to see most of the landscape which we'll be observing and dwelling in for the rest of the film. Well, partially, as you know. But yeah, that's what it is. So, what Morpheus does is he says, you know, it's so funny because he's like, they honestly don't know what the time it is, even though on the plate of the Nebuchadnezzar, they definitely have an establishing date there. There's guesstimates. Yeah, guesstimates, I guess. But it feels like Morpheus would have to do this for everybody when someone wakes up from

3:24the Matrix and he's like, well, honestly, here's this and that and let me show you around. Well, we've talked about that before, remember? And we said, does Morpheus do the same act for every freed person or does everyone get a custom show? That is a question. I think Morpheus likes to, you know, vary it up. He's a theatrical guy. You know what? You know what? You know that pouch? You know what's in there? It's a script. It's a script. Is that the pouch from last episode? He writes a special note. Yeah, yeah. And he puts it in there and like before the door, he's like, oh, he's going to touch it. Or no, Tim, how about this? He has versions A, B, C, D, F, like different alternatives. And he's thinking, which one am I feeling today? Yeah.

4:04This guy probably is an F guy. No, maybe he's a D guy. Yeah, I'll go with D. But yeah, because what we kind of, you learn from the sequels, but what we, you kind of, from the conversation, he kind of tries to get the one before Neo as well. And they kind of, I guess, fail. This is our theory here. So he's done this a few times. Oh, yeah. I think. And especially with all the people he freed as well. So he's reversed because like his lines are perfect. He's got it down to the dot. He knows exactly what to say. So he probably said, okay, Trinity, put the welding thing on. Oh, the whole thing is planned. You guys, mouse, be behind there. Okay. I'm going to go get Neo. Wake him up. Okay. Just wait five minutes.

4:44Ready? And we're doing script B. And actually, this truly is how to make the Matrix worse with Jacob, Tim, and me. It is true. That's what we do. That's our only, you know, worth. We're like one trick ponies. Make it worse. Well, at least I am. Worth. Make it worse. You're just trying to mess up Phil's podcast. Yes. Exactly. Well, you know, Phil is a, he tries so hard. The truth is, everyone knows, is Phil does all the work. And this is true. Philip does all the research and everything he prepares. Me and Tim, we basically just show up and we go, let's record. My sole purpose is to derail Phil. That's all I do. I just, I just find the perfect moment and just completely take the podcast to nonsense. Right. That's it. That's good. I'm glad we have this. It's a great dynamic.

5:24That's good. Thank you for joining us. Stan, and I hope with a guest, we'll actually, it'll be on, you know, on, on my side. Yeah, I think, I think Stan's, right? Stan's bringing legitimacy to the show. Definitely. He's, he's, he's had some wide words. Yes. Unlike, you know. Me. The pouch of the sea. Well, I'm the old guy. So I guess, yeah. I guess so. I guess so. You've seen the wearies of the world. Oh, yes. Okay. Okay. So let's go back to when Morphys is still talking to Neo. I just wanted to say that Keanu's acting is still fantastic. I have to say the way he reacts, it just feels very real. It just feels exactly how someone who's getting these, this message delivered to him really

6:06feels like. And it's so, I just, I'm going to say this every time, but before this, Keanu has not been very amazing when it came to doing acting, especially ones without having to say anything. I don't know. Stan, have you seen like Dracula? No. Ram Stoker's Dracula. With Tom Cruise. No, no. That's Interview with a Vampire. I meant. No, sorry. Sorry. Yeah, I messed it up. I've got an interesting question for Njoni. Sorry. Yes, go on, sir. It's tied with what you're saying. Have you seen any of these actors previous to this movie, to your knowledge? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is interesting, right? Were they completely new to you? So I actually talked about this again, yeah, when we watched it with kids the other day.

6:51The children. I don't think I've seen any of them except Keanu in Speed and, you know, I think Speed was before that, wasn't it? Yes. Yeah, Speed and the, what's the one with Patrick Swayze? Dirty Dancing. Point Break? No, Point Break. Point Break. That was a big one as well. I'm not sure I've seen the one. I don't remember. I haven't seen it. I might have seen it in a one or two movie. So he was, I guess, also chosen to be one of the stars because none of those actors are really known, were known maybe in the mainstream kind of Hollywood before Fishburne was working, but he wasn't a star or something. So I love that because even Keanu wasn't like a, although I guess it was a big star.

7:34It's a long time ago, guys. I can't even remember now. Yeah, I know. But it was like, okay, Keanu is there, but you know, it's just, just an actor. It wasn't like a Tom Cruise or, you know, like an over, overrated or something like very known actor. Yeah. It wasn't a superstar. So having all these other like Fishburne, Karen Moss, so they were all new and it was more realistic. It was more like you didn't see the stars. You didn't see the actors. Yeah, I pulled you in. It was like Lord of the Rings. Like I didn't know anyone in Lord of the Rings. I don't think anyone knew anyone. No. That's great. But then again, I was 12. So, I mean. But still. That's true. We are kind of, yeah. Ian McKellen. I think people know him. But did they do that like Star Wars as well?

8:14Yeah, Star Wars as well. George did it on purpose, yeah, for Star Wars. Sorry, Stan said something. Oh, I just said. You want to repeat it. Great point, Tim. Oh, God. Thank you, brother. You have my back and I have yours. I have something to add in this scene. When I watched this movie a long time ago when I was a little boy, but then later on when I got older, I always liked that when Morpheus announces that they're in the future and it's $21.99, I think on top of Neo waking up into a completely different world, he's also waking up into the future, which is so detached from what he knew, right? Yeah. Because 99 existed the year 1999 and all that stuff happened, right? The world with the machines and so on and so forth.

8:56So, I always wonder what's interesting is that I think that everyone who wakes up in the Matrix, especially people who are working on like this and the Nebuchadnezzar crew and stuff like that, your priorities completely shift when you wake up. Yeah. I mean, it's a whole new world, but on top of that, it suddenly puts into focus what you value, what you believe in, what you're going to fight for, these types of things, because you really have a choice. I mean, you can't hang around and have fun in the real world. Yeah, there is no Cap'n Crunch. There is no Cap'n Crunch. There is no, I mean, you have to hack. You can do that. That could be fun for some people. You can listen to good music. But you really have to like make some kind of a decision to do something and act in the real world. It could be you go to Zion and do something there. It could be on the ship, but you have to make a choice and it completely changes your

9:40outlook. Outlook. On the world. Yeah. And also in the world. And also you question like, what is the point of things? Well, Cypher is definitely going to start questioning that. Yeah. But it's completely ruined with Neo because if I put myself in the shoes of Neo, where Morpheus starts talking about, it's 2029, right? At that point, I would like Neo just, okay, let's go. Let's go see what's the ship. Oh, that's Neo. I would stop. Okay. So hold on, Morpheus. Wait, wait. What happened? You know, like I would be already asking the question straight away. But Tim. No, stop. Sit down next to this. Well, that's why you're not the main character in the film. Yeah, that's why. It's like Neo is just like, oh, it is 2029.

10:20Welcome, Tim. Yeah, let's do it. Let's go see. Yes. I would argue he's still in a shock. Yeah. So you don't ask. That's how it is in the 1996 script. Many of the descriptions actually say that for Neo, like everything is going in a blur. And that's a great segue to just mentioning how the camera is moving and how they used more close-up lenses, zoom-in lenses, long lenses, as they would say, to get all these and to move around into the ship and seeing Neo's perspective. And also like Morpheus, the entire time he's talking and the camera's following, it's as if we were in Neo's, like looking, seeing through Neo's eyes.

11:01And the way the camera is not wide, it's actually just trying to glance into certain specific parts. It's actually helped so much to illustrate how that kind of confusing feeling would generate itself if this was real life. So there we go. That's good, yeah. I have a question, Philip. We can talk about the Nebuchadnezzar. Raise your hand if you have a question. That's what I wanted to say. Yes. Oh, I have something before that. Yes, sir. Oh, okay. Okay. Go. I have an objection. Objection. The Sparks. What about it? It just ruins for me. It just ruins for me. It's such a stereotype. What's going on?

11:41Yes, of course. The electricity's off. The safety's off. Why is, what's Trinity welding? A new, what, you know, like it kind of a... A new sled. She's fixing the Matrix ports. She's fixing the date on the Nebuchadnezzar plate. She's like, oh, Morpheus screwed it up. He said 2020. We need to collect a vote. I have to switch it. Everyone voted for, you know, 2072 sounds better. He was like, oh, we have to fix it because Neil is going to think the number is going to be wrong. He's not going to believe us. Oh, Trinity, go fix the sign. Right. It's just the Sparks. Yeah, you're right about the Sparks. Why? That's a trope. We'll turn with the Sparks. Like, they put it in to make it look like there's activity going on.

12:22And it's like, you know, it's just adding texture to the thing. But when you look at it, like, objectively, it's like, why are these people welding at this moment when Morpheus is showing him the ship? Realistically, they'll be waiting for him. Yes. It doesn't matter. It's just kind of a... It seems out of place. All the wires are great. It's really like a, you know, do-it-yourself ship and that's fine. But it's just like that. That threw me off. The entire... Cyberpunk aesthetic. Yeah, the entire production design, which was spearheaded by Owen Patterson and conceptualized by Jeff Darrow, who's this, you know, comic artist who does just incredibly hyper-detailed

13:03illustrations. That's coming out of his mind. And what's great about it is that everything kind of merged in to become that specific vision that the Wachowskis actually wanted to show, especially in contrast with what we see in The Matrix. Yeah. Which is, I think it's really nice. The other thing that, like, we can talk about the Nebuchadnezzar a little bit, is like as a hovercraft, he says, right? And of course, the name... Sorry, go on. Yeah. Before we get to that, I just want to point out, you know, the sort of cyberpunk aesthetic of the cables and everything. And it's something that's, you know, very tied to anime, and that's pretty much where kind of the inspiration comes from.

13:45Oh, yeah. And I just want to say that it's something that's not really common in the Western world where we live, you know, Europe and America, but it's my visits to the East when I was in California. Tell us. Tell us. I've shown you guys pictures, but this is actual reality. I mean, the thing is that these countries kind of developed in a speed up motions, like, you know, so let's say if in Europe you have the Industrial Revolution and everything, and then you have the government building up the standards where everything kind of has, you know, a law and there's policies and there's everything. Yeah, everything's regulated. And then it sort of the technology developed with that. And so did the regulations.

14:25But in these countries, it kind of just popped in within 20 years. So electricity, sewers, and everything just kind of, like, stuck together. And I, just walking through those streets and having, because, like, every time a cable breaks, I just put a new cable in. So you have, like, a hundred of cables going through trees and everything on the streets. It doesn't matter. So yeah, I put a cable in. There's no regulations. It doesn't matter. Right. Build a building. It doesn't. And just walking through those, I just, like, especially the Animatrix movies and the Matrix, I just was completely, like, emotionally overblown. I'm like, I feel like, I'm in a specific kinds of fiction movies. This is amazing. Thailand, right? Yeah. Just like that. Yeah. It was awesome to experience that sort of, like, that reality that you'd only seen, like,

15:07in a drawn or in a movie. There would be a parallel there. But yeah, we can move on to Nebuchadnezzar. Yeah. Well, the name, Nebuchadnezzar, obviously, it's... Is there any... Well, the King of Babylon, obviously. Yeah. And his main shtick was that he always had these dreams. Right. That's what he was known for most of the time. Oh, so he was a beast. And he turned into a beast. For a short while, yeah. A werewolf. Tim, you're escalating just on the scale. No, I swear, man, there must have been one movie when they're like, oh, the first werewolf was Nebuchadnezzar from the Bible. Oh, probably. Maybe it started Keanu Reeves. Sounds like an Underworld sequel. I'm 100% sure there's got to be a movie when they're, like, referencing the first werewolf.

15:49Okay, what other references have Nebuchadnezzar? Well, that's very, but that's very, like, connecting to Morpheus, who's the god of dreams. That's also, like, the whole Matrix thing itself. That's the name of it. I remember when our dad was watching with us, he's like, oh, Nebuchadnezzar. Ah, you know. Because of the Bible reference? Yeah. Yeah. But also, speaking of Bible references, there was, on the plaque it says established to Right, let's talk about that. 2069, but also it says Mark 3, number 11. Ah, yes. And- Again. And as the trivia goes, you can, you know, it seems like the Wachowski's, like, putting these hidden Bible verses in there, because when you look at Mark 3, number 11, verse 11,

16:30it says, and unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. Neo, you are the one. Oh. Yeah. But it's a technical term, Mark 3, but it can be also the gospel mark. Yes, yes, yes. Of course. Really cool. And once again, you can always go with the numbers, because we have the number of the room, which is 303, which is Mark 3, which is Trinity. Oh, boy. And then you have number 1, 11, which is Neo. So, again, three and ones. Yeah, keep going. Yeah. Oh, you can have number 2069 and go, you know, 30-way. So, what's with the made in the USA and something else? Well, they're just very-

17:10They've got to be a little patriotic. They're very proud of their American- No, but USA, and then there's a letter, half letter or something. No. Is it? USA-y? It's a weird one. I don't know. Maybe it's just a- United States of America AI. No, United States of AI. There you go. The AI built- No, I think that's just some old- Yeah. I mean, it could be the United States- I don't know. Guys, come on. That's just some old- All right. Whatever. Well, then, you know, it's a hovercraft, and apparently the, you know, the hover pad is a technology that was created by the machines. And we're going to talk about the whole backstory of the machines and the humans, eventually when we get to the history lesson later on, some episodes down the line. When's that?

17:51Huh? When's the history lesson? And a couple of episodes. Oh, Philip, always shushing us. He never lets us talk about anything. No, later, guys. Because if we put everything in one episode- But guys, wait, can I make a shout out really quick? Go on. To the Back to the Future Minute. I'm listening to it now, after they just wrapped everything. And I have to say, I really like the format they have of not revealing too much. So I have to say, I have to be on Philip's side here. Aha! Aha! I have to vindicate him, because that's, it's actually very useful, because then you don't go ahead of yourself, and we also reveal the story as we talk. But then again, I didn't listen to any Minute Podcasts before we started this one, so we're stuck with the format we have. All right. Yeah, it's lovely. I like it.

18:31I feel comfortable. Yeah, don't know what to say here. I just want to say that, you know, cool. I think that's it, isn't it? We see all the characters. Cypher's the only one who says hi. They're all standing there in line. Morpheus is introducing all of them. Trinity's reveal is fantastic. Her little glamour shot with the, yeah. The luscious hair. And the little one behind you is Mouse. And that's a nice little humorous bit, because we all think Mouse is a little bit. Mouse is quite adorable. Wouldn't Mouse feel kind of angry and annoyed with that comment? He is technically the smallest guy. I know, but that's kind of, I don't know. And the youngest. I'd be like, hey. He's very excited for Neo. Look at him. Yeah. He's like that kid in the second movie. What kid? Yeah.

19:11Except not as lame. Oh, right. Oh, yeah. The one that has to unplug the name. Yes. Okay. Question for you guys. Yes. So we see the whole crew. Let's do a kid's thing. You know, when kids watch a movie, they always pick, oh, I am Han Solo and I am Princess Leia. So I want to know, who do you guys relate to most from this crew? When I was a kid, I related to Mouse. Really? I was like, Mouse is my guy. Okay. Definitely. Like, I didn't relate to any of these other big people. Definitely not Neo or Morpheus, but Mouse was me. What about you guys? It's a hard question. I was too old to relate in that way. Yeah, I know, I know. It's just, you know.

19:53I don't know. I guess I can tell you who I'd want to be. Yeah, who would you want to be? Switch is cool. Because she wears white. Yeah, I think she has a really cool style and she seems to be basically like no, no frills, just not, you know. Yeah. Just pointing a gun at people's faces. Okay, let me rephrase your question. If you had to be one of these crew members, who would you have to be? Switch, for sure. I mean, yeah, most of them die anyway. I'm assuming they don't die. I'd be, I mean, I'd be Cypher if I succeeded and I'd be rich like an actor. Yeah, eating sticks. And important. Amazing. No, no, no. But we all know Jake will be Neo.

20:34I mean, come on. Yeah. Jake's the hero. We can't get past that. So I noticed something, okay? So when they introduce, especially Trinity and Cypher, also because I guess there may be even better actors because Trinity has this prophecy about Neo and I think it shows in her look already. And I don't know. What, are you trying to do a purposefully? Hey, buddy. Yeah. She's observing him in another way because you can see, I don't know. I just noticed a little bit. And then Cypher, of course, because we know the story. Oh, yeah. But the other guys are like, we're here. Hello.

21:14But the look in Cypher is like, yeah, you're the one. Let's see about that. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah. It has a bit of depth in it. And again, Trinity has a different depth to it. And you'll probably talk about that in later episodes. The rest of the guys are supporting him. You can see it in a high, high. Although Tank is really excited. Tank is very, very happy. I was going to say, to be, I think when they took Tank to the Oracle, she told him as well, you will fall in love with the one. He's biting his lip. He's like, yeah, that's the one. He's the one. I know. Or what if you got a- I can feel it in my loins. What if you got a prophecy that's like, you will help the one succeed or you will bring

21:55greatness. The one will have a tall face and look like a horse. Yeah. No. What if she told him, your brother will die? Oh. That would be so sad. Well, then he'd be more protective. He'd be like, no, no, no. Wait a second. They didn't come from the Matrix. So did they go to the Oracle? No, they didn't. No, no. They never wanted to. They can't get plugged in. They had a phone call. Just remote. Just a mini, mini, mini prophecy. Yeah. The Oracle. Just an SMS. Call in prophecies. SMS. Yeah. So, I think that's it. That's all I can say. There's not much with the 1996 script, to be honest. Yeah. I had a story to do that, you know, was tied with the Matrix with my brother, but I was hoping

22:35one of the soundtrack songs would pop in so it could be related to it. Oh, I'm sorry. You're going to have to say it now or forever hold your pulse? Okay. So, the funny thing is that, I think I might have said this before somewhere, but back in the day when you had the studio, I used to do these jobs for you. You would, when you're done producing an album, you would have to burn all the CDs yourself. Oh, right. And it was a boring job. So, the gig was, I would sit there for 50 CDs and once they're done burning, I would like put in the new CD and then I could just like sit there and read or whatever and do my schoolwork. And after 50 CDs, you would burn a CD for me. Oh, really? And I could, any CD, you would make a copy for me.

23:17And I'd be like, that's bootlicking. You can cut this off if you don't want to be on the internet known as the bootlicker for your brother. But, and then the, my first choice was obviously the Matrix soundtrack because of the Propeller Head song. Yeah, you guys, you guys love the Propeller Head. I mean, you do too. That was, yeah, Spy Break. And I was like, I have to have this song. And I remember you burned it for me and you had the CD in your hand and you kind of, you were giving it to me and then for a second you hesitated. You're like, there's a lot of heavy stuff on this. I don't, I don't know if I should, I'm like, look, I don't care what's the rest of it. I just want the Propeller Head song.

23:58And you're like, okay, here you go. And that's my first experience with metal music. Since then, I have changed a man. Look at that. First, I mean like the first song, like there's like Marilyn Manson. I was like, oh, that's too satanic. I can't. And the next one was like, well, it was like Ministry. And I was like, oh, that's too much. It feels bad. Wow. But then it was like Deftones and stuff like that. Rage. Yeah. This is interesting. It was like Rage Against the Machine. This is cool. And then slowly that was my first experience with some heavy rock. So I just remember that specific moment of time, like the moment of hesitation. I was like, I don't know. Should I be responsible for this or not? How old were you then? Thank you.

24:39I would be 10 would be the minimum. I think this was like later on. 13, no? 10 minimum, but I would be more like 12. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Well, it's a lot of dark music on it. You know, like really proper dark. Oh, I love that soundtrack. And after like two or three years, I grew to that Ministry song. I can listen to it now. But back then, it was too, too. Two years, they were shouting about stuff. I can't understand the lyrics. I don't know. They're calling Satan. I don't know. Who knows what this is. It was a good soundtrack. But I think we figured out that Oprah Pellar has to actually have an album. And I took off. Oh, decks and drums and rock and roll. Yeah. That was like tied in with the matrix. So about decks and drums and rock and roll, right?

25:19It's basically an electronic DJ music, you could say, you know, stuff. But it's always sounded so natural and dynamic and good. And I was like, why is that? Why other, you know, artists who do similar music don't sound that good? And then finally, I found like the credits, you know, somewhere. And it was actually mixed in real world studios at Peter Gabriel's studio. And then you figure out, oh, the outboard there, everything is analog. It's just they pushed everything through it, you know, through the nice, you know, the myth and everything. And the way they work there, I don't know who mixed it actually for them, but the environment

26:00there is great. And then I was looking, who else mixed there? And honestly, everything that comes out from there, even if you don't like that specific genre on music, it just sounds so good. It's such a place. Rich, rich. And which is close to here. I should go there. It's close to. Oh, yeah, you should, man. You should go. It's close to Bath. It's a small village called Box. Great name. Really? That's amazing. And I don't know. There's actually a competition here for best performance. We might send it with my band. And the first prize is you get a day to record at Real World Studios. So there's a connection with Propellerheads and Matrix and the soundtracks. There you go. Everything is connected. You can run our podcast through the gear. Awesome. Thanks. Anyway.

26:41The master of the podcast. But do yourself a favor, dear listener, if you like the Propellerhead song, which we'll hear later on, get that album. I think it's their only album. It's their only album. Probably, right? It was a project thing. So they never did anything else with that name. You can appreciate it. Yeah. You can appreciate it on a sonic thing. To us, it's extremely... All of us. ...nostalgic and important. Because they have like decks and drums and rock and roll. It's like drums. And then, you know, decks like DJ stuff. And there are a lot of samples from old movies. Yeah. Quotes. That just like... I don't have no idea what those movies are. But I just know them from those songs. It's just like... You give me so much at one time. At one time. Yes. Yes.

27:22I do. I do. Side note. It was used also the... Her Majesty. In service of Her Majesty or something. That's right. It's used in the trailer for The Incredibles. Really? Find the trailer of The Incredibles, which wasn't actually in the movie when he's trying to zip up, you know, like he can't fit into his suit in his old suit or whatever. Oh, that's right. I remember this. It's really cool. That was such a confirmation. Even Pixar is using propeller heads. Nice. Everybody's listening to this. This is good stuff. There's a point in that song where it kind of builds up and then there's just this thick bass kicks in. I remember just like putting that on super...

28:03Yeah. Putting that on super loud. I remember my nieces, Mimi and Tabula, the kids, and I'm like, guys, get ready to have some real rumble. Yeah. And I would just like build up to that and like... So the funny thing is I tried to recreate that sound, right? But I wasn't playing bass at that time. Now I'm playing and I have, you know, pedals and stuff like that. Oh, you do? It's actually on fuzz. So they put the fuzz on. So you have these overtones, harmonics, which are overdriven. And that's why it cuts through the speaker so much. It's like ripping. Wow. It's lovely. Yeah, I love it. It is a lovely ripping sound. Yes. Indeed. It's got that lovely analog sound of like the Rage Against the Machine song, which is recorded in Sound City.

28:46Yes, that's right. Sound City. Another analog thing. Yep. That was recorded live, by the way, that whole record. Oh, cool. The first Rage Against the Machine album. One go. Yeah. And this was our musical section. Yes. Yeah. Thank you. It's bound to happen. Very good. Very good. Well, hopefully, hopefully, Stan, maybe way later, we can have you again in the Matrix before we end it. Yeah. That'd be awesome. Always welcome back to the show. To the show. Cool. It was quite lovely. Especially because I have to say, Stan, you were more than a leader to us. You were a father. Yes. And it's true. You were our Morpheus when we were kids.

29:28Absolutely. We always looked up to you and everything you did, we took to heart. And, you know, your advice has been invaluable. Thank you. That was great. Well, thank you. You know, I don't know. I wasn't digging on purpose. I just like to share discoveries with anybody who's me around. So if it was kids, you know, I thought, oh, you have to see this. And at that time, you were already a film buff, you know, in all the stuff you watched at that time and you wanted to make movies. And I thought, well, this is, you know, a pretty good movie you should see. So, and it seems like it is one of those critical movies that inspired you to do a lot of visual stuff and stuff you did. Yeah. It completely changed like the, it was the, you know, the turning point.

30:11I think even, especially mine, but especially, I think, Phil, yours is like, there's like a point you can watch your movies before the Matrix. Yeah. Yeah. And then the movies after the Matrix where like digital grading kicks in and everyone talks like they're a prophet. Yeah. And you have no idea what's going on. I guess. And thank you, Nyonji, for sitting through all the movies that we made and watching them and giving us, you know, like you could see like thinking, oh, how do I say this? We really have to build, we still have to, we have to build up the fact that we made little movies when we were kids because someone somewhere will someday email us and say, come on, can I see it? Will they email us? Oh, who knows?

30:52Oh yeah. Go to ask at the matrix.1. That's insane. Will they? That is the question. Ask at the matrix.1. Yes. What is the Matrix? You can ask us. We can tell you. The Matrix Minute.1, right? Yeah. The Matrix Minute.1. Yeah. Excellent. And Facebook, The Matrix Minute. Twitter, The Matrix Minute. You can find me at Phil Draggish, but you know, that's Twitter. Oh, we stopped that. Yeah. You can find me now. We don't have to. We don't have to. We don't do that anymore. You can find Stan at Podcast. And you can find Stan, who has been with us this whole week, and he runs a, currently, one of his side projects is, out of the many of them, is The Podcast. Or is it just Podcast? It's just Podcast. Podcast.

31:32And that's, yeah. Fun fact. Where he and his... What? You can find Stan at any possible social media or website in the world. Oh, that's right. Every time I sign up to something, Stan is always there. No posts. No nothing. But he's there. It's like, oh, there's a new, new, like, cool thing. Okay, I'm going to sign up. Do you, like, and then it says, do you want to, you know, suggest a friend? Okay. There's Stan. You look at the profile. Nothing. How do you do this, Stan? How do you do it? It's like, why do you do this? You have nothing there. No. Every time I sign up to anything. Sign up to Wire? Oh. So just friend, Stan. Okay. I think I stopped it now. I put like... But I'm interested. I'm curious. I'm a curious human being. So if, actually, there's a website. It only shows you all the beta kind of apps and stuff like that.

32:15I follow that and I sign up. You never know. It could be, you know, user number 100 or whatever. Number one. So if you're looking for Stan, you'll find him anywhere. Anywhere. For my print. Anywhere. Yeah. Yeah. Awesome. Awesome. So thank you, guys. Thank you very much for inviting me. And it was fun. And yeah, invite me again when you feel like you need another guy to talk with you. Another brother. Yes. From another mother. Another brother. It's good. It's good. Well, from our same mother here. And to you fellow viewers, we will say adieu and goodbye. We don't want to share a mother with these people. Ew. Thank you, everyone. And on that note. Thank you. We bid you goodbye. Bottom Show. Thanks, Dan, again. And thank you, everyone, for listening.

32:55And we'll see you next week. Have a great weekend. Yeah. Bye. Hooray! Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Thank you.
